Strawberry Picking

On our way back to Chicago, we passed by a farm called Thompson Strawberry Farm located at Bristol, Wisconsin. We decided to do a quick strawberry picking which only costs $8.00 per basket. I was pretty excited because it was my first time. When we reached the farm, the farm keeper asked us if we would like to buy a basket of freshly picked strawberries or we would like to pick it on our own? We chose to pick it, then we're instructed to drive further down the farm.
In the farm, I was suprised when I saw a lot of people busy picking strawberries. There were cute kids bringing baskets trying to choose large ones. When I got an empty basket, I walked towards in the less crowded area in the farm so that I can still pick the best berries. The paths were so mushy and muddy opposite to what I expected to be dried like in the rice fields during harvesting time.
It was a wonderful experience and I was able to eat some strawberries for free while picking. :)
