My colleague introduced this TV Drama series and found the storyline very interesting, so I decided to give it a try. I was a bit hesitant when I learned that it's purely drama. Since I watched the very first episode I was hooked up 'till the end. It was really worth it!
This is where I discovered the amazing acting ability of Jessie Pinkman, the ex-student portrayed by Aaron Paul. I have learned to love his character and glued in every episode. The leading character Walter White, the genius chemistry High School teacher or known as Mr. Heisenberg, played by Bryan Cranston is also amazing. It's a beautiful tandem. But can't help to admire more Aaron Paul for being a very effective drug addict. In fact, Aaron Paul has been awarded for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in Emmy for 3 consecutive years. Bryan Cranston has his own share of awards too, for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series in Emmy and recently he won the Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Drama for the Golden Globes. Breaking Bad has a total 98 wins and 168 nominations. You may find more awards and nominations in IMDB site.
Unfortunately, this famous TV program ended on 2013 with up to only 5 seasons. Was it a great show? Does it promote good vibes or good values to the masses? Well, it depends on how you view it and it's up to you which side do you want to take, positive or negative? I understand that the intention is good for Walter White's family but Mr. White did it in the wrong way. He was frustrated and wanted to get a large amount of money so bad and became greedy.
It was really addicting, full of thrills, some violence yet very inspiring.
